I began creating studio buttons in 1997 after taking a class in beaded
buttons from Robin Atkins. I had been making evening purses for years but
the world of buttons was new to me. I enjoy creating beaded buttons
because it allows me to express a certain whimsy not seen in most of my
larger works. To me each button is like a perfect tiny world. I find the
process of creating buttons completely addictive--I have not been able to
stop making them! I am a member of the National Button Society and if you are a member you may have seen my ad in the NBS Bulletin or seen my work at the convention, where I am represented by Beads & Beyond (Bohemian Buttons.) My buttons have appeared on at least one winning tray that I know of. I've heard rumors of others... My original creations were all beaded on colorful quilting fabrics over a metal frame. | ||
