From bill at sfvbclub.org Tue Jun 17 14:07:33 2008 From: bill at sfvbclub.org (Bill Foote) Date: Tue, 17 Jun 2008 14:07:33 -0700 Subject: [Vball] Volleyball Message-ID: <023201c8d0be$29a2adf0$4412a8c0@hal> Hey there fellow Volleyballer! Please forward this to anyone you feel it might be appropriate for or applicable to. Thanks peeps! Summer appears to be nearing (despite recent weather here in the greater Seattle area). With summer, come the traditional Duke and Duchess Tournaments held by the SFVBC. We have no real marketing technique other than volleyball players passing the info along to other players (so please do). :-) Brief details: * Individual Registration, not as a team. Each player will play with 7-9 different players of the opposite gender throughout the day. * The $20 entry fee gets a player 12 games that day, food & drinks at the site, plus over ? the players will receive prizes. If a player plays in all 3 events, he/she also receives a ?D&D 2008? T-shirt on the last event day. * Players need to be at the field at 8:15am (play at 8:30 or 8:45) and we finish by 5pm then it?s time to party or soak in Epsom salts. * Your entry is a commitment. This format relies on exact numbers of men & women. No-shows will be banned, shunned, flogged, stoned, severely reprimanded and possibly whipped (not in a good way). IMPROTANT ? We are accepting entries now for all events. I know in the past, we only open registration 2 weeks prior to each event, but because of the new facility (Brier), we can handle more nets, more divisions, and earlier registration. So this email is a plea for players. The event coming on June 22nd is very light on current registration because I hadn?t sent out email pleas prior to this. Here is a link to the web page for more info: http://www.sfvbclub.org/duke_and_duchess.htm I certainly hope to see most of you out at these tournaments. They are a blast to be a part of! Thanks gang.
