Spoken like a person who has never had a domestic skunk for a pet,  and has 
absolutely no understanding of the complete picture. In your eyes, the 
procedure may not be 'complicated,' but it is cruel to take a pet and end it's life in 
such a manner. I do not know of a single case of a legal, domestic skunk 
testing positive for rabies. See:  www.aspenskunk.org  in order to educate 
yourself.

Domestic Pet Skunk being defined as a skunk who was born at a skunk farm, has 
domestic parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on for the last 
200 years, no connection to the wild and HAS NEVER BEEN EXPOSED TO RABIES. 

States who do not allow pet skunks are ignorant of the facts surrounding 
domestic skunks, and refuse to learn.

Torturing anything for any reason needs to stop.   

Testing for rabies is not complicated. The animal is euthanized and brain
tissue is extracted for the testing process.  

Skunks have the rap as being a vector for that virus and that's a fact. It's
why most states don't allow relocation of nuisance skunks and prohibit the
public from owning them.

Torturing an animal in order to cause it's death by rabies testing is not  
funny. It's abuse. It needs to stop.
