As far as loopholes go- Does anyone know of any loopholes that would allow skunk ownership in California?

Dear Tiff,
Sounds like you're in a bit of a quandary. We ALL want to do the right thing. But sometimes it conflicts with doing whats right for US!!!There are all kinds of ways to get around certain stupid, asinine, laws...Politicians that make them, also make plenty of Loopholes,so that they are exempt...If it is illegal in Oregon to buy & sell skunks-SIMPLY PURCHASE THEM ELSEWHERE!!!

It is illegal to buy or sell skunks in the state of
Oregon. You can have them as long as you didn't buy
them or sell them. I live here in Oregon and spent a
great deal of time trying to find a Skunk breeder here
in the past and had no luck - spotted, striped or
otherwise. I knew of a pet shop that had an albino
skunk but they were very clear that they could not
sell them here in Oregon as well.
