Hi Everyone,
This is Kathryn from Neuros Audio with two quick updates before the holidays.
Release of Hardware Schematics:
We've released the Neuros hardware schematics. By sharing the documentation that details the inner workings of the hardware, the total release of information is complete. At this time, the software, firmware and hardware are all open source, and can be viewed by the public and used by the developer community.
As Joe wrote, "The release of such documentation is a relatively new practice and one that remains quite controversial... But the overall effect, we believe, will be the significant advance of products and technology resulting from the more open flow of information."
You can learn all about it at http://open.neurosaudio.com
If the words "open source" are new to you, and you would like to learn more, this article provides a good overview of the open source movement and debate that surround it. Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source
More Music from eMusic:
eMusic has been our partner since the beginning of the Neuros product line. For our customers, or soon to be customers, click through to eMusic through this link
( http://www.emusic.com/promo/neuros/index.html?fref=800002 ) and receive 100 free songs. eMusic provides their music in MP3 format, good quality encoding, and without any hassles that prevent you from moving your music from your PC to your Neuros or any other device. If you are a fan of indie labels and alternative music (old and new), this is the place. They also have great suggestion lists to point you in the direction of new music you will also like.
The latest scoop is that early next year we are going to be strengthening our partnership with eMusic by bundling selections from their collection at no charge to our customers. They are generously offering us music to add to the units before we ship, and in addition we will have a link on our site that will allow current Neuros users to download the music as well. We will be looking at a playlist of about 80 songs that will change over time, and will be a total of more than 250 tracks.
Happy Holidays, everybody. May the New Year bring you great joy.

Subject: [Neuros-gamma-group] Apology from Neuros Email list: Administrative
Mistake
Message-ID: <5EC7EB573FF6D044AF060EE3D1B3525F0D8356@nasrvdc01.neurosaudio.com>
Everyone,
In the administrative tool, I hit the wrong button on 4 emails, and
instead of unsubscribing the users, the emails were sent to the group.
This won't happen again.
My sincerest apologies,
Kathryn
